Mike,
I hope you dont mind me posting this. If you do please let me know and I will remove it. But, I hope you take the time to read and maybe even participate...
It's once again time to have Exodus Road Hobbies host another painting challenge, the second of hopefully four painting contests for the year. With the recent rash of miniatures, the release of a movie, and even its own national day of recognition, we figured what better theme than that of PIRATES!
The contest will run from July 15th through Sep. 19th (National Talk like a Pirate Day). At the close of the contest, voting will commence for one week. Voting isanonymous and you may leave comments and critiques, which we have found our previous entrants have greatly enjoyed. After the voting, announcements will be made and prizes sent to the winners.
Based on our theme, your miniature must be of piratey flair or faction. We have come up with several sub categories to better match your entry with like entries for fair judgement.
The categories for the contest are:
The specific rules for the contest can be found here: ERH Pirates painting contest RULES. I would really like to stress folks to read the rules, as some may be missed or misunderstood and lead to disqualification.
We have been very fortunate with a number of sponsors, including Dark Age Games, that have chosen to provide supplemental prizes for this contest. We encourage everyone to let them know your appreciation! The contest sponsors are, in no particular order:
We hope to add more sponsors in the near future. If you happen to read this and would like to support the contest in some manner, please feel free to contact me admin@exodus-road.com
We are looking forward to a great contest as they seem to be getting bigger and better with each passing.
So, come visit us and paint some...

The categories for the contest are:
